Cindy Wingo Hemenway began her real estate career in 1986 working in commercial real estate.  During that time she did management and leasing with Duddlesten Management and BMS Management.   In 1998, she decided to make a move from commercial leasing to sales and at that time made the transition into residential real estate.  She spent several years on the design & sales team of The Bayou Lofts in Downtown Houston.  After leaving that project, she spent a couple of years with Karpas Properties and then started her own brokerage firm, Cindy Wingo Realtors, Inc. in 2004.

Cindy grew up in Natchitoches, Louisiana, where the movie, “Steel Magnolias” was filmed.  She received a degree in education from LSU in Baton Rouge and moved to Houston immediately after graduation.

Prior to beginning her real estate career, Cindy spent a short time working as a teacher for deaf children and then several years with a small oil company working for Geologists.  One of her teacher friends talked her into getting her real estate license which she did, assuming she would begin selling houses right away; however, she was asked to interview with a commercial management firm and ended up being in the commercial industry for 15 years.  Funny how those things happen!

Shortly after starting her own firm, Cindy met and married her husband, David Hemenway.  She went from being single to being a mom of 3 grown children and 7 grandchildren.   She and David recently relocated back to the Katy area to be closer to the kids and grandkids.  At that time, she relocated her office to 22503 Katy Freeway.

Cindy serves in many leadership and committee positions in HIREBA, the Houston Association of Realtors and Houston Professional Republican Women.  She is a member of Second Baptist Church, Katy.

Cindy and her husband like to ride motorcycles and drink red wine (but not at the same time!) but spend most of their free time watching the grandkids play basketball, volleyball, soccer and swimming.
